Payments for fines, court costs and restitution are accepted Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Payments can be made in person in the Circuit Court Clerk's Office, via the mail or online. Payments can be made via personal check, money order, certified checks, cashier checks, credit/debit card (VISA or Mastercard) and cash. Checks should be made payable to the appropriate court. If you have been convicted of a forgery, uttering, or bad check charge, then you cannot pay your costs and fines by personal check. Clerk may refuse to accept a check presented by the defendant from another person's account.
Always indicate clearly to which account (case number and defendant name) payment is to be credited. This is very important if there are multiple accounts for the same defendant. In addition, please include the defendant's name and case number on all checks or money orders for proper credit. Never send cash payments via mail. If payment is sent via the mail and a receipt is desired, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with the payment.
